One
of the Top Twenty great escapes in the world
Paxos
and Anti Paxos can be found 14 kilometres south of Corfu,
20 kilometres to the east is Parga on the mainland of Greece.
Paxos covers an area of some 19 square kilometres and is one
of a cluster of picturesque small islands set in the Ionian
Sea.
Paxos has no airport, can only be reached by boat and has
been able to protect itself from the strain of modern tourism.
You will find the pace is still unhurried, very relaxing with
genuine friendly Greek hospitality at its best. There are
three main villages in Paxos.
Anti
Paxos is surrounded by some of the finest sea in
the world and is just a short distance off the southern point
of Paxos. The sea is so blue in Anti Paxos that it reflects
on the undersides of the seagulls as they fly across the water,
it's a beautiful experience not to be missed. It's only 15
minutes away from Paxos and boats run frequently from Gaios,
Lakka and Loggos during the summer.
