Zorba the Greek evening in Greece:

This tradition with breaking plates, is almost gone in the Greek community and over the past three trips to Greece (3 years), I have not found any restaurant that does this anymore. Our Company have a contract with the Poseidon Taverna in Poros. Poros is a small island 49 miles off the coast of Athens. The Poseidon Taverna is set on the esplanade and on the waterfront with the buildings of Poros dripping down to the esplanade around the Taverna. This is a perfect Greek setting for this special evening.

Your yacht will be docked almost opposite this Taverna.





What you need to bring:
An attitude to have the best fun of your lives with the most charming folk in town.
An empty tummy is suggested.
Dress is casual, the weather is excellent.
A camera to capture this evening.
WHAT does your Zorba evening consist of?
Only your group will be at the restaurant on your Zorba evening, your party can consist of 2 to 12 guests. The entire restaurant is cleared just for your group. You can select any night of the week. A three to four piece band is on hand and three to 4 dancers are ready to provide the traditional atmosphere. Dancing and breaking of plates for everyone to enjoy. We need to notify the owner 20 days in advance, so they can clear the deck and set the scene for your special night.
Your night can commence at 7pm and run through until 2 am the following morning. All food is included in the price of the evening and it is normally the Greek seafood special. If some folk do not want seafood then simply let your booking agent know and it will be changed. All beverages, beers, alcohol and wines are included. Many plates will be on hand for each guest to break.
